Surface tensiometers are suitable
for use as tensiostats to control irrigation or for moisture measurement
on irrigation fleece or technical fleece.

Technical Description
Tensiometer chamber: flat, brown
ceramic foot (Type Bl), with or without yellow enamel coating on top
surface of foot, tested and calibrated, max. suction tension ?800 hPa,
reabsorption factor 0.1-0.2 (see test certificate of the individual
tensiometer).
Base neck: acrylic glass tube with protective cover (black Shrink-Wrap)
over entire length; Model Blumat FO with green transparent PE neck which
has been welded onto the ceramic foot.
Connection: glass, screw-threaded neck piece with thread type GL 14?(?
14 mm), glued on, also available as s T-shaped screw-threaded neck piece
for the "T"-models, fits to the corresponding screw cap of the
manometer or sensors; by Model Blumat FO: threaded neck piece
integrated in base neck (?21 mm), the fitting "Blumat"-watering
head as regulating unit (see "Drip-Blumat"-System) is included
in delivery.
Viewing window: for observation of the water column located on the glass
threaded neck piece (below the screw cap), by Model Blumat FO located on
the transparent threaded neck piece below the watering head.

Standard model especially
useful for capillary matting systems;
A special feature of this surface tensiometer is it’s low total
height with minimal water reserve, it rarely needs to be
refilled when used in moist ranges; special model may be
necessary for high suction tensions.

Especially suitable for
use as tensiostat or for measuring in thin layers of substrate,
for example, in very loose or granular substrates such as "Seramis".
The entire surface of foot is reactive (without enamel
coating)and can be pressed about 3-6 cm deep into the substrate,
the reaction time is especially fast due to the large reactive
surface area. Can also be used for measuring on fleece in moist
ranges (saturated ceramic base does not allow passage of air).

Can be combined by means
of the integrated T-piece with the Manometer 400, allowing for
observation of moisture content over time and for checking the
functioning of the tensiostat, for instance, by first time usage
of the tensiostat or for carrying out point controls; can also
be used without manometer (cap for closing open end included in
delivery).

|
Complete moisture
regulator in a simple construction for direct control of 2(-5)
drip locations, thereby making possible a regulated supply to
small table partitions with capillary matting (see Extra-Info);
necessary accessories: pressure reducer and connecting hose
("Drip-Blumat"-System).
